What a special night shift we had last night …

A new, very beautiful, first baby - a girl - born quickly at home seconds before we raced up the stairs.

What a fantastic sound to hear her cry and see her parent’s joy.

It has to be the best and most memorable ‘job’ I have ever attended.

I'm going to huff and I'm going to puff - and I'm going to blow those candles out ...

I wonder how the birthday boy’s grandparents and grinning big brothers would like to be woken up at 6am on a Saturday by close quartered duck whistling (which when blown makes the sound of a very loud and excited duck), remote controlled talking Scoop (think Bob the Builder) and armoured tank (think pneumatic drill)?
